Multisensor Intelligent Bandage

The MIB is an ongoing early research project focused on using microelectromechanical sensors to monitor secretion, pH, temperature, and other factors in a wound. The project requires experimental research in finding the electrical and mass density properties of bacteria infested blood samples as well as mathematical modeling of the acoustic and electrical measurements, needed for the design of efficient sensors. Furthermore, the sensors need to be integrated into an embedded system to provide wireless transfer to a monitoring device. We expect to end up with a working prototype including all three types of sensors and appropriate analyzing algorithms.
